Privacy Policy
Designer Feedback is an on-page annotation tool. It stores your annotations and settings locally on your device and only uses data needed to provide its user-facing features. We do not operate servers and do not collect analytics.
Information we collect
We process the following data on your device to provide the extension’s features:
- Web history: page URL and title for each annotated page.
- User activity: clicks, annotation positions, and timestamps.
- Website content: element labels/paths and page screenshots when you export.
How we collect and use data
We collect and use this data only to deliver the extension’s single purpose:
- Create, display, and manage annotations on the current page.
- Generate exports (HTML, image, or ZIP) when you choose to export.
- Show an annotation count badge.
Web browsing activity (page URL/title) is used only to associate annotations with the page you are actively annotating.
Permissions used: The extension requests tabs to capture the
visible tab during snapshot exports, storage to save data locally,
activeTab and scripting to inject the toolbar and capture
screenshots on demand, downloads to save exports, and contextMenus
to provide a right-click export shortcut.
Sharing and disclosure
We do not sell, transfer, or share user data with third parties. The only time data leaves the extension is when you choose to download an export to your own device.
Parties data is shared with: None.
Storage, syncing, and retention
Annotations are stored locally in your browser storage. Extension settings are stored using Chrome Sync (chrome.storage.sync), which may sync those settings across your Chrome profiles if you have sync enabled. We do not access or process this data outside your browser.
Data remains in your browser storage until you delete it using the extension or clear your browser data.
Security
We keep all processing local to your device. No remote servers or analytics are used.
Chrome Web Store compliance
The use of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Your choices
- Disable the extension on specific sites using the site list controls.

This extension is not directed to children under 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information from children.
